Our initial treatment approach is conservative, starting with a low dosage for the target areas. Our pain-free technique typically lasts between 15-20 minutes. Results can be seen within 3-10 days following the treatment. However, you must wait 10-14 days for the best results.
For first-time Botox® patients, we schedule a follow-up appointment two weeks after the treatment for a check-in. However, this step is unnecessary for regular patients, and we schedule follow-up appointments every three to four months. As always, all follow-up appointments at Skin Works are complimentary.
Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are all injectable neuromodulators that temporarily relax the muscles that cause wrinkles. Botox is the most well-known of the three and has been used for cosmetic purposes since 2002. Allergan makes it, and people swear by it!
Dysport is made by Galderma and was approved for cosmetic use in the US in 2009. It is considered a more “spreadable” formula, meaning it can be injected into a larger area with fewer injections.
Xeomin is a newer product that was approved for cosmetic use in 2011. Merz Aesthetics makes it. Xeomin has no additives, which means there is less of a chance of having an allergic reaction than the other two products.
