Start with anatomy
Bone structure, soft tissue, asymmetry, skin quality and movement patterns are evaluated before deciding where filler belongs.
Lip fillers, cheek and midface restoration, jawline and chin definition, under-eye treatment, facial balancing, Sculptra®, Radiesse®, Bellafill® and a full selection of JUVÉDERM®, Restylane® and Revanesse® products.
Dermal fillers are injectable products used to restore volume, support facial structure, soften selected lines and improve proportion. At El Segundo, the goal is not to use the most product. It is to understand the anatomy first and recommend enough product to create the result you actually want without making the face look generic or overfilled.
Bone structure, soft tissue, asymmetry, skin quality and movement patterns are evaluated before deciding where filler belongs.
Soft lip products, flexible gels and firmer structural fillers behave differently. Product selection should follow the treatment goal.
Your provider should explain the recommended amount, what a conservative result looks like, and what may require more than one syringe.
Filler treatments include a complimentary follow-up within 28 days so the result can be assessed after initial swelling settles.
Volume, border definition, symmetry and hydration can require different filler characteristics. The provider selects the product after assessing your anatomy and desired degree of change.
For eligible patients who prefer a conservative first treatment, remaining product may be labeled and held under the patient’s name for up to 30 days. Ask the team to confirm current product eligibility before treatment.
Prollenium formula specifically engineered for lips. Smooth, natural movement. Great entry point for first-time lip filler patients.
Allergan's foundational lip filler. Adds natural-looking fullness and definition. One of the most widely used lip products in aesthetic medicine.
Slightly thicker than Ultra XC. Better suited for patients wanting more pronounced volume or with thinner lips that need more lift.
Allergan's ultra-fine lip product. Designed for subtle definition, border enhancement, and lip line smoothing rather than significant volume.
Galderma's XpresHAn technology allows natural lip movement while maintaining volume. Popular with patients who want filler that doesn't feel stiff.
Fine-particle formulation ideal for subtle lip enhancement and smoothing vertical lip lines. Often preferred for patients who want the most natural possible result.
Merz ultra-fine HA filler that integrates into the dermis rather than sitting on top of it. Exceptional for fine perioral lines and the most delicate lip border work.
Cheek treatment can restore age-related volume loss, improve contour and support adjacent areas of the face. Amount and placement depend heavily on existing structure and asymmetry.
Allergan's go-to cheek filler. Lifts and volumizes the midface with a firm, long-lasting gel. The most popular cheek product in aesthetic medicine.
Galderma's cheek and midface filler with FDA approval for cheek augmentation. Also used for hand rejuvenation. Firm enough to provide structural lift.
Flexible gel with XpresHAn technology. Used in the midface for natural movement — great for patients who want volume without rigidity.
Smooth, versatile HA filler from Prollenium used across multiple facial zones, including cheeks, midface and nasolabial folds.
Jawline and chin filler can improve projection, contour and proportion without surgery. These areas often require firmer products and realistic discussion about the amount of filler needed for visible change.
Allergan's firmest filler, specifically designed for jawline and chin. The highest G-prime product in the JUVÉDERM® family — exceptional structural support.
Galderma's flexible, firmer-end gel. Used for jawline contouring and chin definition with natural movement. XpresHAn technology prevents stiffness.
Calcium hydroxylapatite biostimulator. Adds immediate volume to the jawline while stimulating the body's own collagen over time. Dual-action result.
Structural hollowing between the lower eyelid and cheek can create shadowing that makes the eyes appear tired. In selected candidates, filler can soften that transition.
Under-eye treatment is not appropriate for every dark-circle concern. Pigmentation, fluid retention, skin laxity and anatomy can make another treatment a better choice. Product selection and whether filler should be used at all are determined after examination.
Restylane® Eyelight is listed on our current filler menu for targeted tear-trough treatment. Other products may be considered depending on anatomy, and some under-eye uses may be off-label depending on the specific product.
The same product should not be used automatically everywhere. Area, depth, movement and risk profile all affect the plan.
The lines that run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. They deepen as the midface loses volume and descends. Treated with mid-viscosity HA filler placed alongside the fold and/or in the midface to lift the overlying tissue.
Restylane® Refyne · Restylane® Defyne · JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XCLines that run downward from the corners of the mouth. Often contribute to a sad or stern resting expression. Filler here softens the descent and restores the corner of the mouth to a more neutral or slightly upturned position.
Restylane® Defyne · JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC · Radiesse®Vertical fine lines around the mouth from repeated movement and collagen loss. Treated with fine-particle, low-viscosity products placed superficially to smooth the surface without adding visible bulk.
JUVÉDERM® Volbella® XC · Restylane® Silk · Restylane® RefyneLoss of volume in the temples creates a skeletal appearance and contributes to brow descent. Restoring temple volume provides a subtle lift to the outer brow and softens the overall facial silhouette.
Restylane® Lyft · JUVÉDERM® Voluma® XC · Radiesse®Volume loss in the hands causes veins, tendons, and bones to become more prominent — a common giveaway of aging that does not match a refreshed face. Restylane® Lyft is FDA-approved specifically for hand augmentation.
Restylane® Lyft (FDA approved for hands) · Radiesse®Selected nasal contour concerns can sometimes be addressed with filler rather than surgery. Because the nose is a high-risk vascular treatment area, candidacy and anatomy must be evaluated carefully. Filler cannot make the nose smaller and is not a substitute for surgical rhinoplasty.
JUVÉDERM® Voluma® XC · Restylane® Lyft · Radiesse® · Your provider selects based on anatomyA coordinated multi-area filler plan addressing cheeks, jawline, chin, temples, and midface in a single session or series. No surgery, no downtime. Your provider designs the plan based on your anatomy, priorities, and budget.
Multiple products · Plan confirmed at your sessionThese products behave differently from standard reversible hyaluronic-acid fillers. Candidacy and expectations should be discussed carefully before treatment.
Poly-L-lactic acid collagen stimulator used for gradual restoration rather than immediate HA-style filling. Facial protocols are typically planned as a series rather than a one-visit result.
Body applications may be off-label and require separate discussion of volume needs, cost and expected outcomes.
Calcium hydroxylapatite filler that provides immediate structural volume and also stimulates collagen. Commonly discussed for jawline, chin, cheeks, folds and hand rejuvenation.
Some diluted or hyperdilute applications are off-label and should be discussed as such.
PMMA/collagen filler with FDA-approved indications that include nasolabial folds and certain atrophic acne scars. It is a long-lasting product and is not treated like a reversible HA filler.
A skin test may be required before first treatment.

“I have had lip filler at three different places and this was by far the most natural result. She actually listened to what I wanted and did not just overfill me. My lips look like mine but better.”
Sophia R., El Segundo“Did the Voluma for my cheeks. The difference is subtle but real. My face looks more lifted and my jawline looks sharper even though she only treated the cheeks. Really impressive technique.”
Lauren M., Manhattan Beach“Got VOLUX for my jawline and chin. I am a guy and I was nervous it would look overdone. It looks completely natural, just more defined. Several people said I look like I lost weight.”
