What are dermal fillers?

We use Injectable fillers when the signs of aging begin to appear as an alternative to surgical procedures such as a facelift. These fillers combat age-related changes, including volume loss, saggy skin, fine lines, thin lips, and sunken areas.

Are dermal fillers safe?

Yes! FDA has approved treatments with Botox and dermal fillers.

How should I prepare for my dermal filler treatment?

Schedule a consultation with one of our skillful medical professionals so we can evaluate you for treatment. Do not drink alcohol the day before the treatment.

How long does will my treatment take?

You can expect your treatment to last between 15 and 45 minutes; however, it may last longer depending on the areas you want to treat.

How does the treatment feel?

Typically, the only feeling you experience during a filler treatment will be a small prick. Our skillful medical professionals insert the needle with medical precision to ensure that the treatment is as painless as possible.

Is getting a dermal filler injection painful?

If you are very sensitive to pain, you may want to have a numbing cream to apply to the treatment area. This will ensure that only a mild sensation will occur during the injection. For fillers on the cheeks and jawline, you may feel a slight amount of pressure at the injection site.

How soon can I expect results?

Results are typically seen instantly with dermal fillers; however, Botox may take up to 7-10 days to take full effect.

What kind of results can I expect from dermal fillers?

Depending on the areas you want to treat, you can expect to see a variety of amazing results. Injectable fillers create a “fuller” appearance. Fillers can be effective to treat under the eyes to raise the area and get rid of the bags under your eyes that make you look tired.

Will I need time to recover after injectable fillers?

Some people may want a few days to recover from minor swelling and bruising.

How many treatments will I have to get?

During the consultation, a skillful medical professional will assess the area to determine how many treatments you may need. If more than one treatment is necessary, we will discuss it with you.

Are injectable fillers permanent?

Fillers are temporary and must be touched up in order to maintain results. Injectable fillers such as Juvederm Ultra, Restylane, and Belotero typically last up to 6 months while Voluma can last up to 2 years.

Will my results look natural?

When fillers are done right, they will look natural and take years off your appearance. You can expect your treatments to be done by a skillful medical professional to enhance your features in a natural and subtle way.

What areas can be treated with fillers?

We can treat most areas of the face, neck, and hands.

How do you treat the cheeks with fillers?

We use JuvedermVoluma in the cheeks to replace lost volume and give an instant lift to the skin. Juvederm Voluma and Ultra Plus are great for the apple of the cheek. This will also help lift the saggy skin at the chin line, creating a sleeker, smoother jaw and chin.

How do you treat frown lines and lip lines with fillers?

Our skillful medical professionals use precision to fill the tiny lines between the brows or around the lips using Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, or Belotero.

How do you treat lips with fillers?

We apply Juvederm Vollure, Juvederm Ultra Plus, or Restylane Silk with medical precision to transform your lips into the plump, natural-looking lips of your dreams!

Radiesse or Restylane Lyft can make your hands look younger. This is an important area overlooked, as many of us focus on treating problematic areas on our faces.

Who should not get facial fillers?

You are not a good candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have an infection near the treatment site. If you are planning to drink alcohol the night before or the day of your appointment, then bruising can be more apparent.

What are the side effects of facial fillers?

The most common side effects of Injectable fillers are at the injection site, redness, tenderness, pain, firmness, and/or itching. On rare occasions, a local allergic reaction may occur.

Will I be able to attend an event or travel after my treatment?

Due to the possibility of swelling or bruising, we do not recommend having your treatment right before an important event. It is absolutely fine to travel or return to work if you feel up to it!

Do you do half syringe fillers?

At Skin Works, all fillers are 1ml, and to always keep premium quality, we do not do half syringes.
