Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy delivered at selected depths beneath the skin. It is whether the treatment depth, energy and zone fit the problem being treated.

How treatment changes by area

Morpheus8 Depth and Energy Are Adjusted for Each Treatment Zone

Morpheus8 uses insulated microneedles to deliver controlled radiofrequency energy at selected depths. Facial skin, the jawline, neck and thicker body tissue do not require identical treatment. Depth, energy and pass pattern can be changed according to anatomy, tissue thickness and the concern being treated.

Provider evaluation

What We Check Before Recommending Morpheus8

  • The degree and location of laxity, acne scars, texture or stretch marks
  • Whether the concern is primarily superficial texture or deeper tissue remodeling
  • Skin type, pigment history, current skin condition and recent sun exposure
  • Medical history, medications and previous energy-based procedures
  • Tissue thickness and the appropriate depth for each treatment zone
  • Whether one area or a combined face, neck or body plan better fits the concern
  • Whether the patient’s schedule allows for visible recovery and a multi-session series
Face and neck

Facial Texture and Neck Laxity Are Different Treatment Problems

A patient concerned about enlarged pores or shallow acne scars does not have the same treatment goal as someone concerned about early jowling, neck crepiness or lower-face laxity. Morpheus8 allows the provider to adjust treatment depth and energy by zone rather than applying one uniform setting everywhere.

When laxity crosses the jawline into the neck, treating the face and neck together may create a more coherent plan than concentrating energy on only one side of that transition.

Body treatment

Body Morpheus8 Is Planned by Treatment Area, Tissue and Goal

A small stretch-mark area is a different treatment job from a full abdomen, broad thigh area or larger combined body region. That is why body treatment is divided into small, medium, large and extra-large categories.

The provider confirms the boundaries of the treatment area before the plan is finalized. Larger zones should not be assumed to require the same depth, number of passes or treatment pattern as the face or neck.

Acne scars

Scar Type and Depth Matter Before RF Microneedling Is Chosen

Morpheus8 can be considered for selected atrophic acne scars because both mechanical needling and RF energy contribute to collagen remodeling. The depth and shape of the scars still matter, and not every acne scar should be approached with the same device or settings.

When the concern is primarily lighter surface texture, standard microneedling may be sufficient. More pronounced surface damage may instead point toward a resurfacing treatment.

Compare treatment categories

When Another Treatment May Fit Better Than Morpheus8

Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy, but it is not automatically the best choice for every pore, scar, wrinkle or tightening concern. The better comparison depends on what layer needs treatment and how much recovery is acceptable.

Treatment limits

Morpheus8 Is Not a Substitute for Surgery When Laxity Is Advanced

Morpheus8 can improve selected mild to moderate laxity through collagen remodeling, but it does not remove substantial excess skin or reposition deeper facial structures in the way surgery can.

When the amount of sagging exceeds what a non-surgical treatment can reasonably improve, setting that expectation before treatment is more useful than simply increasing energy or adding more sessions.

Common questions

Morpheus8 Near Redondo Beach: Questions Patients Ask

How much does Morpheus8 cost near Redondo Beach?

Current Skin Works pricing starts at $800 for full-neck Morpheus8 and $900 for the full face. Face and neck together are $1,500. Body treatment currently starts at $1,250 for a small area.

Where do Redondo Beach patients receive Morpheus8?

Treatment is performed at Skin Works Medical Spa in Torrance at 2573 Pacific Coast Highway, Suite B. Skin Works does not operate a separate Redondo Beach Morpheus8 clinic.

How many Morpheus8 sessions are usually recommended?

Most Skin Works Morpheus8 plans use approximately three sessions, commonly spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart. The final series depends on the concern, treatment area and individual response.

How much downtime should I expect?

Redness and mild swelling commonly last about 1 to 3 days. Small pinpoint crusts can occur and typically clear within approximately 24 to 72 hours.

When do Morpheus8 results develop?

Some texture changes may appear earlier, but collagen remodeling continues over time. More meaningful firmness and contour changes generally develop progressively over roughly 3 to 6 months.

Can Morpheus8 help acne scars?

Morpheus8 can be considered for selected atrophic acne scars because it combines controlled microneedling with RF energy. Scar type, depth and surrounding skin determine whether it is the most appropriate option.

Can Morpheus8 be used on the body?

Yes. Skin Works offers small, medium, large and extra-large body categories for selected concerns such as stretch marks, uneven texture and mild skin laxity.

Is Morpheus8 the same as regular microneedling?

No. Standard microneedling creates controlled mechanical microchannels. Morpheus8 also delivers radiofrequency energy at selected depths for additional thermal remodeling.

What is the difference between Morpheus8 and Ultherapy?

Morpheus8 uses needles plus radiofrequency energy and can address texture, scars and laxity. Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound without needles and is more specifically oriented toward gradual lifting and firmness beneath the surface.

Can Morpheus8 replace a facelift or neck lift?

No. Morpheus8 can be useful for selected mild to moderate laxity, but advanced sagging or substantial excess skin may require surgical evaluation for a larger correction.
