Lip fillers are the perfect treatment for you to achieve the full, sensuous lips you’ve always wanted. They can increase the volume of your naturally thin lips, creating the perfect shape and appearance to give you the desired look. Here is a guide for your lip filler journey to ensure it’s hassle-free and comfortable:

Day 1

Getting a fuller pout needs only a quick, minimally invasive, in-office visit. Before your injections, you may feel excited and nervous at the same time. Our medical professionals will use a steady hand and keen eye to administer a series of small injections. This adds symmetry and balance to your lips.

During the lip injections, you may feel some discomfort that will go away after a few minutes. After the procedure, we’ll send you home with some lip filler after-care instructions.

Day 2-3

You’ll most likely wake up the next with swollen lips and face. You shouldn’t freak out as it is normal. Also, you may experience itchiness, bruising, and little to no pain. When this happens, you can apply ice to the lips to ease the discomfort.

You should also avoid strenuous exercises and high temperatures for the24 to 72hours. What’s more, drinking water will help fasten the lip filler healing process.

Day 3-4

Although the swelling may start to settle, you may experience some lumps at the injection sites. Your lips will also feel tender under pressure. Since there will be less projection in your upper lip, you’ll feel more comfortable eating and talking than in the previous days.

Day 5-7

You’ll start seeing the results of the lip filler procedure. They’ll look plumper but not much bigger as you feared. You’ll even start feeling more confident with your lips and can start going out to have fun. While your lips may have slight bruising, you can hide the discoloration with some lip gloss or lipstick.

Week 1-2

Fortunately, your dermal fillers work fast so you don’t have to wait twelve months to notice the benefits of your lip injections. As the injectable treatments integrate into your tissues, swelling and bruising will subside within 1-2 weeks.

Week 2 and Beyond

After two weeks, the dermal fillers will settle in and the swelling will be gone. You will be able to see the results of the lip filler procedure. You can visit your medical practitioner to assess the size and symmetry of your lips. They will conduct any symmetry correction if needed. In case you want more lip fillers, you can get them at this time.
