Medical Weight Management

Prescription treatment with a real clinic behind it.

GLP-1–based medications can help eligible patients reduce appetite and support long-term weight management when used with nutrition and physical activity. The medication is only one part of the program. Candidacy, dose escalation, side effects, nutrition and long-term planning all need medical oversight.

01

In-person medical evaluation

Health history, medications, contraindications, weight-related conditions and treatment goals are reviewed before medication is prescribed.

02

Weekly in-office care

The source program is structured around weekly El Segundo visits rather than medication being mailed as an unsupported subscription.

03

Dose changes are clinical decisions

Escalation depends on the medication, formulation, tolerance and provider assessment. Higher is not automatically better.

04

Plan beyond the scale

Nutrition, hydration, resistance exercise, side-effect management and long-term maintenance matter alongside the prescription.

Semaglutide · El Segundo

Semaglutide program pricing

Semaglutide is the active ingredient in FDA-approved Wegovy® for chronic weight management in qualifying patients. Compounded semaglutide is not the same as FDA-approved Wegovy and is subject to different regulatory requirements.

Important: price tier does not equal a guaranteed prescription.

The original page used dose-based package names and pricing. I preserved those source tiers below for pricing continuity, but the medication, formulation and actual dose should be confirmed only after the provider evaluates you. Online payment, when offered, should remain a prepaid treatment credit—not an unconditional sale of prescription medication.

Tirzepatide · El Segundo

Tirzepatide program pricing

Tirzepatide is the active ingredient in FDA-approved Zepbound® for chronic weight management in qualifying adults and Mounjaro® for type 2 diabetes. The old page’s statement that tirzepatide weight management is only off-label is outdated.

Provider evaluation comes before dose selection.

Zepbound uses a staged once-weekly escalation schedule. Individual treatment still depends on medical history, tolerance, indication and the formulation actually prescribed. Compounded tirzepatide is not FDA-approved Zepbound.

What to Expect

A program designed around follow-through

The source page uses a staged timeline from evaluation through longer-term maintenance. Results and dose changes vary by patient.

01
Your First Visit

Evaluation & Program Design

Your provider reviews your health history, current medications, goals, and any contraindications. If you are a candidate, you leave with a program plan, written pricing, and your first injection the same day.

02
Weeks 1–4

Foundation Phase

Weekly injections at starting dose. Most patients notice reduced appetite and smaller portions within the first two to three weeks. Your provider monitors tolerance and adjusts your plan as needed.

03
Weeks 5–12

Dose Progression

Dose is adjusted upward based on your response and tolerance. Body composition changes typically become more visible. Nutrition and hydration guidance reinforced at check-ins.

04
Months 3–6+

Sustained Progress & Maintenance

Most patients see meaningful results in this window. Your provider stabilizes you at the dose that balances results and comfort. Exit planning and lifestyle guidance support long-term consistency.

Candidacy & Safety

This is medical treatment, not a cosmetic add-on.

GLP-1 and GIP/GLP-1 medications have contraindications, warnings and potential adverse effects. Your provider should review the medication-specific prescribing information, your history, current medications and whether weight-management pharmacotherapy is appropriate.

Common Questions

GLP-1 weight-management FAQ

Answers are general. Your provider should give medication-specific guidance based on the actual prescription.

What is the difference between Semaglutide and Tirzepatide?
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. Tirzepatide activates both GIP and GLP-1 receptors. FDA-approved branded products exist for chronic weight management: Wegovy® contains semaglutide and Zepbound® contains tirzepatide. The right option depends on medical history, contraindications, prior response, coverage and the formulation actually prescribed.
What does the dual GIP + GLP-1 mechanism in Tirzepatide do differently?
Tirzepatide activates both GIP and GLP-1 receptors, while semaglutide acts through GLP-1. Clinical outcomes differ by patient, and a dual-receptor mechanism does not automatically make tirzepatide the right medication for everyone.
When will I see results?
Appetite and weight response vary. Dose escalation is gradual, and meaningful weight change is evaluated over months rather than promised on a fixed timeline. Your provider will monitor tolerance, progress and whether the treatment remains appropriate.
What are the side effects?
Common adverse effects of GLP-1/GIP weight-management medications are gastrointestinal and can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation and abdominal discomfort. These drugs also have important warnings and contraindications, including a boxed warning relating to thyroid C-cell tumors in rodents. Your provider will review the medication-specific risks before treatment.
Is this available at your El Segundo location?
Yes. Both Semaglutide and Tirzepatide programs are available at our El Segundo suite at 425 Main Street. Your evaluation, weekly injections, and all check-ins take place in-office. We serve Manhattan Beach, Hawthorne, Westchester, Playa Vista, Inglewood, and the LAX corridor.
Will I lose muscle along with fat?
Weight loss can include both fat mass and lean mass. Adequate protein intake, resistance exercise and appropriate nutrition may help support lean mass during weight reduction. Your provider can discuss a practical nutrition and activity plan.
What happens when I stop the medication?
Weight regain can occur after stopping anti-obesity medication. Long-term planning may include nutrition, activity, behavioral support and discussion of whether ongoing pharmacotherapy is appropriate. Your provider will help plan any transition.
Can these be combined with other treatments?
Other wellness or aesthetic services can sometimes be scheduled during a GLP-1 program, but they do not replace medical weight-management care. Your provider should review timing, hydration, nutrition and any relevant medication or procedure interactions.
Do you offer financing?
The source page lists Klarna, Affirm and CareCredit for El Segundo. Financing is subject to approval and current terms; confirm the available option with the team before purchase.
